This sweet family recently welcomed another beautiful daughter into the world. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing both of their daughters’ newborn sessions. Photographing families as they grow is such an honor and I was so happy for the opportunity.
This little miss definitely had a case of FOMO as she never once closed her eyes! Wide awake and curious about everything going on around her. But that was fine with me because I absolutely love photographing newborns that are awake (and calm, that’s key!). It’s an opportunity to really capture the emotion and connection between baby with mom or dad, or big sister and get a glimpse into what their personality is like, even at just a few days old.
Her big sister, now two-years-old was a sweetie with her baby sister but was a little bit camera shy around me. So I put down my camera, asked her some questions about her stuffed animals and started waddling around like a silly penguin. Before I knew it we were buds and that gorgeous smile of hers shined through.
