You know that saying, “With a new house comes a new baby” (or something like that)? Yea that was pretty much how it went for the S Family that recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Alexis. We had a fun and relaxed at-home family and newborn session right in their backyard. Big brother Jack was full of energy and ready for action. Lexi was a total go-with-the-flow little lady and made my job easy.
I loved this session for lots of reasons: beautiful home inside and out that provided stunning backdrops, a family full of love with parents who couldn’t hide their affection for their little man and precious new baby if they tried, and because one of my besties is the aunt (aka Titi) of these two cuties. Not only did I get an opportunity to do a mini-session with Lindsay and Jack while baby needed a feeding break, but she was also an awesome assistant, which I so appreciated. Also, did I mention that I photographed Jack as a newborn, so to photograph his baby sister as well is extra special for me. Seeing families grow and getting the opportunity to document these occasions for families is just one of the many reasons why I love photography.
I’d like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to the proud parents, Michelle and Josh, on a beautiful new addition to the family. I can already tell Jack is ready to show her the ropes on all things fun. To my sidekick, Lindsay, I hope these photos of you being “Titi” are a reminder of how much you are loved as an aunt. The looks on Jack’s face say it all.
