One of the many reasons I love photography so much is the opportunity it gives me to see old friends that I haven’t seen since my last high school reunion (I won’t reveal which reunion I’m referring to in an attempt to cover up my ever aging self). But what’s even better is getting to meet their family. And this family has two sassy, but sweet little beauties to keep them on their toes. I very much enjoyed our conversations about Sonic the Hedgehog, cupcake earrings, upcoming birthday parties, summer plans, and their best friend, Violet (their puppy dog). I think I even counted getting four hugs throughout the session from my new little friends.
Our family photo session took place at Topsmead State Park in Litchfield. If you haven’t been there, take the kids up there for a picnic or walk through the trails, it’s absolutely beautiful! As you’ll see from these photos the park provides an endless amount of scenery from spring’s flowering trees and bushes, to the stone walls of the old cottage that sits on the property. But more than just the scenery, I hope you’ll see the bond of sisterhood these two have with each other, the fun they have together, the silly smiles they shared with me, and most of all the love this family as a whole has for each other.
I so enjoyed our session, Devon. Your girls (and husband) are such a joy to be around. I’m so happy to see how sweet life has turned out for you.
Here are a few of my favorite images from our session.
I hope you enjoyed viewing these family photos, if you are interested a session with your family you can view more of my work here:
