As I’m sure you’re aware the spring weather hasn’t been all that kind to us just yet, but on this particular mid-April evening I lucked out and hit the jackpot with the perfect temperature, lighting, and atmosphere for the maternity session of these first time parents-to-be, Kim and Chris.
Not even married a year yet they wasted no time starting a family. Due in just a few short weeks now they are awaiting the arrival of their first child, a daughter. I’m not sure if the name is being kept under wraps or not so I’ll just refer to her as “baby girl”. But it’s a really awesome name, in fact if we ever have a girl, there’s a good chance this would be her name.
Anyway, Chris thoughtfully surprised Kim with this maternity session as a Christmas gift. After discussing with Kim her vision for the session we settled at a Park in West Hartford and it did not disappoint! The trees weren’t exactly in bloom yet, but it didn’t matter because the amazing, warm, soft light was really the only prop I needed, well, and a stunning mama-to-be with her beach wave hair (which I’m totally going to attempt to copy!). Not to mention a very cooperative hubby who happily did anything I asked him to do (thanks, Chris)!
Kim and Chris, enjoy these last few weeks as a couple while you await the arrival of your little girl. Once she’s placed in your arms for the first time, life will never be the same (or better in my opinion). I’m looking forward to her newborn session and capturing you as a family of three the next time around.
